Smart Corner is a mixed-use office, retail, and residential property in downtown San Diego. It is the headquarters for the San Diego Housing Commission along with several other city-run organizations.
Sitting adjacent to the San Diego House Commission building is a 19-story luxury condo tower offering upscale residences and secure parking below.
The location also serves as a stop for San Diego's light rail train which has given rise to several retail sites to accommodate the daily commuters.
The San Diego Housing Commission in partnership with Ace Parking chose Access Professional Systems (APS) to replace the antiquated parking equipment with TIBA Parking Systems. The goal was to secure the in-demand parking area and better manage the complex parking requirements.
APS worked to a very aggressive timeline of 30-days from start to finish. The solutions we deployed included:
- 1 Entry Lane
- 2 Exit Lanes
- Cashiered and automated payment exits
- Control and management of nested resident parking area
The residential building now has a modern and fast functioning parking system. It is secure for residents, and allows for daily commuters and shoppers to use the parking too.
